Bible college to hold annual banquet
Koinonia Bible College will hold its 19th annual banquet on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel, 100 West Bank Expressway in Gretna. Trinity Lutheran Church
Trinity Lutheran church, 620 Eliza St., Algiers, will hold a fall garage sale Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
'You Will Receive Power' retreat
A 'You Will Receive Power Retreat' Day will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Infant Jesus of Prague Carmel Hall, 700 Maple St., Harvey.
Sister Philip Marie Burle will be the retreat leader.
Lunch and snacks will be served. Confessions start at 3:30 p.m. and Mass starts at 4 p.m. The booklet fee is $5. Catholic Charismatic Renewal Westbank Prayer Groups are presenting the retreat.

Second Salvation pastor's anniversary
Second Salvation Baptist Church, 212 Marrero St., Bridge City, will celebrate Pastor Herbert Green Sr.'s 23rd anniversary with a cookout on Saturday at 11 a.m.; a musical extravaganza on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.; and a worship service on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m.
