Book silent auction begins Monday

The Friends of the Slidell Library's new silent auction of previously owned books will begin Monday at 9 a.m. at the Slidell Library, 555 Robert Blvd.

The auction concludes on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m.

Auction items will be available to view in the two display cases inside the branch during this time period. Many of the items included in this auction would make excellent holiday gifts.

Bids are placed in person and high bidders do not have to be present to win. Winning bidders will be notified by phone and must pick up items within seven days or item will default to the next highest bidder.

There is a minimum bid amount on each individual item. All subsequent bids require a minimum $1 increment advance. The last bid may be placed on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. Complete descriptions of the auction items on display are inside the bid book at the Slidell Library.
