Hahnville High
Hahnville High students had high expectations and were filled with excitement over the past couple of weeks.
After Homecoming Week Oct. 5-9, the Tigers turned their attention to the cross-river rival football game against Destrehan High on Oct. 16.
Hahnville High broke its four game losing streak to Destrehan and took home a big win.
Spirit Week was held Oct. 12-16. Students were allowed to dress according to a theme.
The theme for game day was "Black Out the Wildcats." Students were encouraged to wear all black. For the HHS Super Fans, the traditional purple and yellow were cast aside and black paint showed the new spirit for the game.
The Ms. DHS Pageant was a highlight of the pep rally. Some of the biggest and funniest guys at HHS strapped on wigs and put on heels to strut in the pageant. Dillon Boudreaux, Chris Berry and Timi Freemen were among the contestants.
Jemere Joseph was the winner.

The talented theatre program and choir presented "The Wizard of Oz" last week.
The play was directed by Lucas Harms and starred Megan Barrios as Dorothy.
The auditorium was packed as students, parents and children from throughout the community attended the performances. The colorful set and characters elicited laughter and awes throughout the entire performance.

A blood drive was held last week. Representativews of Ochsner Blood Bank conducted the drive.
