Bark After Dark Friday in LaPlace
Riverlands Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will hold its 11th annual Bark After Dark gala on Friday at 7 p.m. at Bull's Corner on Airline Highway in LaPlace.
Angela Hill, WWL-TV news anchor, will be the mistress of ceremonies.
Tickets are $50 and may be reserved by sending a check to Riverlands SPCA, P.O. Box 223, LaPlace, LA 70079-0223; by calling 985.652.7722; or e-mailing bevrtt@att.net.
The event will feature a buffet dinner, music by We3, a silent auction and a balloon blast.
The annual event is the RSPCA's major fundraiser. Proceeds will support the group's spaying and neutering and pet adoption programs.
