'The Sleeping Beauty' will be performed
River Region Ballet will celebrate 15 years of producing ballet performances in the River Parishes with a presentation of the opulent classical ballet, "The Sleeping Beauty," next weekend in Destrehan.

Trash Bash is Saturday
St. Charles Parish will once again go green with the second installment of its spring parishwide Trash Bash, a litter cleanup and recycling educational event Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at locations around the parish.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Ministry of Care is collecting donations of money and nonperishable food for the needy every Sunday during Lent. A bin is located at the entrance of the church.

Senior citizens invited to join Council on Aging
Senior citizens in St. Charles and St. John the Baptist parishes are invited to join their local Council on Aging. Seniors, however, do not have to become a COA member to participate in services and activities at senior centers. And, any adult interested in the welfare of senior citizens is encouraged to get involved.
