City offering training in battle against blight

In September, Linda Williams, association president, attended a code enforcement training day where neighborhood groups submitted lists of blighted properties.
Follow-up hearings will be held Nov. 9-13 at St. Maria Goretti Church.
Williams said code inspectors will be in the area and a cleanup day is set for Saturday.
The training day was also attended bShirley and Louis Alexander, Mary Bachemin, Gladys Bowman, Inett Branch Sr., the Rev. Robert Brown, Inez Carter, Sarah Darby, Mercedes Duckworth, the Rev. Mac Dunbar, Gregory Jefferson Sr., Robert Jefferson, Aubrey Jones, Adam Lee, Hilda McCall, Paula McFarland, Sylvia McKenzie, Veroetta Robinson, Briana Sawyer, Melvin Thurn Jr., state Rep.
