River Festivals Foundation Inc. is the nonprofit now producing the event. Some of the proceeds will still benefit Old Algiers Main Street, but River Festivals Foundation's primary mission is to preserve, protect and promote the culture of the area, and thus will focus more on educational programs, such as musicians in the classrooms, nursing home performances and symposia throughout the year.
