Recycling facility reopens Saturday
Allied Waste of New Orleans is reopening to the public its recycling facility the first Saturday of every month beginning this Saturday.
Hours for the recycling drop-off days will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Allied Waste headquarters, 804 L&A Road, Metairie.
Items that will be accepted include paper, cardboard, newspaper, magazines, junk mail, aluminum cans, plastic soft drink and water bottles, liquid detergent and bleach bottles, milk jugs, tin, steel and metal cans.
No glass will be accepted.
