Local judge to speak on funny experiences
Judge Thomas Wicker will the guest speaker at the meeting of the Alliance for Good Government today at 7 p.m. at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 West Napoleon Ave., Metairie.
His talk is titled "A Funny Thing Happened to Me on My Way to Court." Wicker will discuss some true but funny experiences he's had on Louisiana's Supreme Court and will be available to answer questions at the end of his presentation.
Wicker was on the state 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and is an ad hoc judge for the Louisiana Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Tulane University undergraduate and law school.
Wicker, who served in six campaigns during WWII, is a past president of the Tulane Alumni Association, a past president of the Sugar Bowl and a past president of the New Orleans Rotary Club.
