Ochsner presents women's health program
A free program on women's health will be presented on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the clinic board room at Ochsner Medical Center, 1514 Jefferson Highway, Old Jefferson.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Rajiv Gala, an obstetrician/gynecologist at Ochsner.
The presentation is sponsored by the Metairie branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) as a community service. It will be geared to general women's health for women over 40.
The AAUW, initially formed in 1881, is the oldest organization supporting education and equity for women and girls. AAUW provides funds to advance education, research, and self development for women and to foster equity and positive societal change.
Full membership is available to all graduates with a baccalaureate or higher degree as well as associate degree recipients. Student Affiliate membership is available to those working toward their first baccalaureate degree.
