Polo bash exudes a winning spirit
They painted the town red at Black & White Night at Benedict's Plantation on Oct. 2.
The Harvest Cup Polo Patron Party revved up with a signature 'Polo-tini' made especially for the polo event by mixologist Star Hodgson.
A red-hot raffle featured a "Shot in the Dark Swag Bag Grab." A ticket gave the holder a chance to throw a dart at a balloon containing a Swag Bag number. All Swag Bags were valued at $100 or more, and included in the bags was a week stay in a Lake Tahoe chalet that sleeps eight, a polo hat by Fleur de Paris and a French Quarter hotel getaway.
Music by No Left Turn fueled the fun for the action-packed evening.
Live auction items showcased artwork by Frankie De Melo, men and women's watches and a catered cruise for 45 on the Tchefuncte River aboard the Bon Temps Roule.
After an amazing spread of food, guests enjoyed a towering black and white cake created by Sharon Zambita.
Thanked for a fantastic party experience were Black & White Night Chairwomen Sharon Ehlinger and Jennifer Champagne.
Proceeds from the Harvest Cup Polo Classic go to the projects and programs of the Junior League of Greater Covington.
