Members of the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, which is under the umbrella of the Volunteers of America, were treated to a luncheon in their honor at Vintage Court on Sept. 26.

St. Paul's School
The final week of October was an extremely busy one at St. Paul's, with many different activities taking place. On Oct. 28, seven members of the Lasallian Youth Leader organization, accompanied by Brother Gale Condit and Brother Jerry Vincent, traveled to Christian Brothers Middle School in New Orleans to participate in the second annual Lasallian Day. Thomas Lorando, Chris Barr, Jared Rovira, Shawn-Wesley Skinner, Christian Guilbeau, Andrew Mullet, and Christian Moseley interacted with other high school students from Archbishop Rummel and De la Salle high schools, engaging in several sessions in Lasallian formation. Later in the afternoon, they assisted with the Christian Brothers' "Spirit Day." On Oct. 27 at one of Brother Ray's biweekly assemblies, he formally inducted the members of the 2009-10 Student Council.

The Pitcher Junior High Panthers football team has finished another season undefeated, and the team won its fourth consecutive District 2 championshiop. The team finished the season 8-0 on Tuesday against Mandeville Junior High School.

Of all of the student-run organizations on the campus of Covington High, the school's Student Council is perhaps the most dynamic and diverse.
