Jobs fair to be held in Reserve
The Louisiana Technical College-River Parishes Campus will host a jobs fair and Octoberfest on the Reserve campus Thursday, with at least 17 industries and businesses expected to be represented.
The companies will provide information on job openings, internships and training requirements for jobs, LTC associate professor Debbie Chabaud said.
The event is sponsored by the LTC Student Government Association. Chabaud is the group's faculty adviser.
The jobs fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public, she said. About 200 high school students from the three-parish River Parishes area also will attend.
"They can hear what industry has to offer," Chabaud said.
The event is a fundraiser for the SGA. Food and games will be available, and families are invited to participate, she said.
The college is at 181 Regala Park Road, Reserve.
