Police search for robber
New Orleans police are looking for a man who robbed a Central City area store at gunpoint Saturday evening.
Just before 8 p.m., a masked man walked into a business in the 1600 block of Louisiana Avenue, near the corner of Carondelet Street, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the cash register, said officer Garry Flot, a New Orleans Police Department spokesman.
Police described the suspect as being 5-foot-2 and about 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. A black stocking mask covered his face.
Detective Armando Asaro is in charge of the investigation.
