Voters repudiate government
Re: "GOP wins big in Virginia, New Jersey," Page A6, Nov. 4.
Too long we have been silent about the president's leadership. Now Virginia and New Jersey have said it all!
People don't want the government to manage their lives. Because of government, too many babies are born out of wedlock. Social Security is a joke. Can you believe that government taxes what little Social Security benefits we receive after we have already paid for this?
The post office is dysfunctional, our public school system is dismal and yet the Democrats are proposing more taxes for health care on working families.
Ronald Reagan said it best: "Who do you think can spend your money best, you or the government?"
Taxes do not stimulate the economy. We, members of the American public, do. Government has its head in the sand. If politicians would pass laws that included themselves, then fewer laws would be passed.
I pray for my grandchildren's future that both parties can lead, rather than dictate.
