Re: "Empty school means blight," Your Opinions, Nov. 3.

Is there anyway to right a wrong?

I am friends with some of the artists who occupied Colton School. Yes, they did keep the neighborhood active and alive. They also shared their talents with students and adults by giving free classes.

They kept our youth off the streets and taught skills to adults and youth as well. I know they have now scattered and some had to put their work on hold.

Is there anything we can do as a community to bring this vibrant space back to life?
