One has to wonder about the fence all around that part of City Park where that Voodoo whatever was staged.

Letter to the Editor: Saints lead way to recovery
The Saints have given hope to the city of New Orleans, regardless of what people like Ed Blakely may say. The Saints have not only raised millions for our city but have brought the entire city together, and we can all say we are proud to live in New Orleans.

Letter to the Editor: Seizing land for hospitals is not justified, ethical
Yes, the government has the right of eminent domain. It can take people's property away from them against their will, but the reasons for the taking must be justifiable and the owner must be paid just compensation.

Letter to the Editor: Blakely's been wrong before
Now who is the buffoon? Ed Blakely predicts race wars under next mayor. Is this the same guy who predicted "cranes in the sky" after Katrina?

Re: "Empty school means blight," Your Opinions, Nov. 3.

Letter to the Editor: Inept and, thankfully, gone
There are virtually no signs that Ed Blakely accomplished much of anything. It appears all he did was walk away from an unfinished job with a fistful of cash.

I believe if RMJM Hillier, an internationally respected architectural firm, inspected the current VA Hospital on Perdido Street, it would stipulate that it, too, is structurally sound and viable for reuse as a hospital once the basement and power restoration was completed.

It is common among the incompetent and snake oil salesmen to blame others when found out.
