Jeffersons wore rings, children say: Jamila Jefferson-Jones and Jalila Jefferson-Bullock said their parents, former Rep. William Jefferson and Andrea Jefferson, always wear their wedding rings and were wearing them at an Oct. 2 bankruptcy hearing. A story published Tuesday reported the Jeffersons apparently were not wearing the rings at the hearing and that bankruptcy trustee Michael Chiasson had issued an order asking for a description and independent appraisal of the rings. Chiasson said Tuesday that he did not see the rings at the hearing, but perhaps they were obscured by the table between him and the Jeffersons.
