CORRECTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS
Bluefield is in Nicaragua: A story about Hurricane Ida in Thursday's editions of The Times-Picayune incorrectly identified the city of Bluefield as being located in Honduras. The city is in Nicaragua.
Religious order incorrect: The Covington Corner column in Thursday's Covington and Mandeville Picayune sections listed the incorrect religious order for the sisters of the Rev. Thomas Eugene Perrier. Sisters Christine Perrier and Rochelle Perrier are Marianites of the Holy Cross.
Statement in battery trial wrong: A story in some editions Tuesday incorrectly described a statement made by Mandeville Police Sgt. David Hurstell during the battery trial of Gary Copp. The story said Hurstell denied that then-Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price asked that the charge against Copp be reduced. He actually testified that he could not recall the details of his conversation with Price.
