Britney Spears' Circus tour to kick off in New Orleans

Britney SpearsBritney Spears is taking her "Circus" act on the road.
In an appearance on ABC's "Good Morning America," the pop star announced that her North American arena tour will open March 3 in New Orleans. Her new album, "Circus," arrived Tuesday, on her 27th birthday.
It is Spears' first tour in five years as she gains career momentum and stability in her personal life. Spears, who sang her hit "Womanizer" on "GMA," begins rehearsals next month.

It's time for another Britney Spears comeback: Call this one the remix version.
It was only last year that our damaged diva attempted to put the focus back on her once spectacular music career with "Blackout." A tight collection of sexy club-oriented grooves, "Blackout" was a delight, and had so much hit-worthy material even Janet Jackson could have been resurrected with it.

Hey, kids! Stars of the popular "Naked Brothers Band," Nat & Alex Wolff, bring their "Fully Clothed Tour" to the House of Blues for an all-ages, afternoon show with Savannah. Pianist and vocalist Leslie Smith hosts a free afternoon song-writing workshop for students at Tipitina's. At the Hi-Ho Lounge the Magic Chamber Band features Helen Gillet on cello, Rick Trolsen on trombone, Matt Rhody on violin and Justin Peake on percussion. Pianist and raconteur Mose Allison is back at Snug Harbor with bassist James Singleton and drummer Johnny Vidacovich.

Electric blues guitarist Little Freddie King lights up Ruby's Roadhouse in Mandeville. The Mid-City Lanes has Tab Benoit plus former Wet Willie vocalist Jimmy Hall teamed with Louisiana LeRoux. At Ernie K-Doe's Mother-in-Law Lounge, veteran funk and R&B bandleader J.D. Hill plays harmonica, rubboard and more with the Jammers.
